The Martin Luther King Jr. that’s Never Quoted [VIDEO]

Let’s face it, the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has been watered down over the years. As opposed to being tghe radical he was in his lifetime, Dr. King’s legacy has been reduced to one line in a speech as was pointed out in an earlier post. For many, it’s hard to imagine Dr. King as the fire and brimstone type; o,r something or someone much like Malcolm X back in his time. But the truth is that he was a lot closer to the aforementioned than imagined. Case in point, check out the following clip of the Martin Luther King Jr. that’s never quoted.

No, he was never the “kill whitey” type of guy — no, he was never that. He was a man who loved people — all people. That said, I wanted to take a moment to share what I thought to be a very revealing side of Dr. King.

Though black folks aren’t being hit in the head with police batons, or being bitten by racist German shepherds. It’s important that we continue to deprogram much of our thinking as a consequence of our internalized oppression. So, check out the following side of Dr. King for a moment, and yell me what you think.
