1) I know just who Harriet Tubman was — my statement was an attempt at humor.

2) The long history of police officers shooting and killing unarmed black men is well documented. The eating of another man’s face, notwithstanding, the victim in this case posed no threat to police officers on the scene.

3) It might seem highly inappropriate for the pics of the homeless man’s eaten face to surface on the internet. However, this being the internet, does it surprise you?

Though unusual a sight, it’s hard for me to understand how a man eating another man’s face poses a threat which warrants the use of lethal force. As bizarre as the actions of the dead victim, equally as bizarre is the fact that most people see this shooting as justified. But hey, black men have been shot and killed for doing less, so go figure.
