We should be cautious when it comes to the motivating factor when it comes to race and police policy and policing. Oftentimes, the issue of race is just the sad reality that people of color who are often on the short end of the stick when it comes to the judicial system, which starts with the police. We have a long history to justify suspicions. bet we must be careful because, well, everything isn’t so black and white (no pun intended).

I’ve thought about that article on the 13 year old girl and her dance instructors quite a bit since I read. I think I have come around to your side of thinking on it, though I do think police should be more cautious in their handling of suspects. The men involved mentioned being pulled from the car without warning (similar to the case of the woman who pulled away from her traffic stop then pulled over a second time in New Mexico).

You’re right about sex trafficking, it’s a serious issue and it’s nice to hear people being realistic about it, rather than reporting on various stories in the ‘this happened’ nightly news manner.

There was a man from Baltimore in my area some weeks ago, police were reporting he is wanted in relation to sex trafficking and child abduction.
