Let’s start with the whole sexual freedom claim. You got it correct with the first assumption. I read Karrine’s book back in 05 (I believe, can’t remember) and she basically admitted to being messed up because of her mother and if my memory serves me correctly, her step father or one of her mother’s boyfriends may have engaged in inappropiate behavior or contact with Karrine. Karrine’s mother had men coming in and out of the house and Karrine overheard things that a young girl whould hear. She had a poor example passed to her by her mother. Karrine’s “sexual freedom” is a false claim and one that I believe Karrine made up in a sick attempt to justify her behavior. Karrine is a bruised soul that refuses to get better. She needs serious counseling and therapy to heal from her past. She was also in numerous sexually abusive relationships. In her book she also admitted that she thought those relationships were normal.
On her lack of knowledge of history, I find her comments hilarious. Anyone who pays this girl any attention and actually gets upset, should know better. Really, we expect “Superhead” to be smart??? Thank you for the break down. I’m west indian and I’ve heard this nonsense spewed before. The slave trade was real, not fiction. Karrine is from St. Thomas. Please! She clearly knows nothing about St. Thomas. People settled there or were forced there to exploit the resources of the land. Duh. Also, the transport of migrant workers is something that folks (especially mixed race west indian people) love to forget. I am guyanese and chinese. My great grandparents were from Hong Kong (british territory) and made their way from Hong Kong to South America (lots of british territories) for work. Now I know others with similar backgrounds who just don’t know the history or refuse to get to know it. I would love for Professor Gates to swoop down and hit Karrine with a DNA test. Karrine needs to stick to what you does best and stop talking or writing stupid books!
