Very very good blog. What irritates me most is that white people (like myself) try to make out that we experience racism just as much as a person of (any) colour. THAT is rubbish. Apart from very rare circumstances. e.g. The only racism towards me has been mild jokes about my welsh heritage. And that’s something people only find out by speaking to me. I don’t have to tell people I’m welsh, whereas a black person, well their skin is ALWAYS there, it’s not like they can hide their blackness. And I hate that people can give criticism but can’t ever TAKE it themselves.
Chescaleigh’s video is awesome, I saw it and subscribed instantly. She’s hilarious. And she pokes light hearted fun at people who can be bigoted, when they think they’re not.

Notsayingthatimracist but anytime a White person’s flagrant bigotry is pointed out to them, it always tends to grate on a particularly sensitive nerve. In this case, I think it penetrated and burrowed underneath some people’s skin and stung to their very core because they recognized themselves in the skits… Just like I recognized myself on the receiving end of some of it.

Truth Hurts. I certainly coul make a similar video – “Sh*t Country White Guys Say… to City Black Guys” based on experiences that I had during my year and a half at a predominately white university in northern Louisiana.

I subscribe to Chescaleigh’s Youtube channel and saw that video when she first uploaded, then checked it again when she was at 100,000 hits. I last saw it about 2 days later at 4million. She certainly touched a nerve. Some whitefolks have wanted a reason to claim racial discrimination, & this video is that reason. They will not pass this opportunity up, no matter how stupid they look in making the racist argument. We just have to allow them to claim victim, becuz they will anyway.
Chescaleigh’s vid stands out becuz she NAILED that “thing” that whitegirls do when they talk and jam their words all together like “notsayingthatimracist” sounds like one word! Haha! Thats what pisses them off.
